Antonio Di Iorio completed the music score for the Italian feature film "Il Viaggio", by director Alfredo Arciero, with actors Angelo Orlando, Fabio Ferrari and others. The movie is going to be released firstly in Italy, USA (Los Angeles), Canada and South America and then in the rest of the world.

December 2015

On December 31st, 2015, the year-end symphonic-choral concert was made in Brescia with the Orchestra Filarmonica Della Franciacorta. Program entirely made up of the most famous film music by Maestro Ennio Morricone, fully arranged and orchestrated by Antonio Di Iorio. Orchestra conducted by Maestro Dale Clevenger, principal horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1966 to 2013.


 

July 2015

Antonio Di Iorio realized the arrangement of "Clock Tower Suite" from Alan Silvestri's "Back To The Future" for the "Closing Night Gala BACK IN TIME: 1985 Live!" concert happened on July 11th, 2015 that closed the Fimucité Filmmusic Festival in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. A great concert with many guests from Hollywood and other countries. The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and The Tenerife Film Choir, conducted by two famous composers and conductors Bruce Broughton and Diego Navarro, performed a selection of the most representative scores of 1985.

On May 30th, 2015, Antonio Di Iorio won the 1st Prize at the very prestigious Composers Competition FMF Young Talent Awards 2015 in Krakow, Poland during the Film Music Festival. A great and international jury headed by Professor Daniel Carlin, director of the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Programme at the University of Southern California and composed of professionals from Hollywood such as Michael Todd (ASCAP Senior Director of Film & TV Music), Trevor Morris (film composer), Robert Townson (executive producer and head of Varèse Sarabande record labe), Doreen Ringer Ross (VP, Film/TV Relations for BMI), Richard Guérin (General Manager for Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings Symphony) and from Poland such as Robert Piaskowski (FMF Artistic Director) and Pawel Pawlik (radio journalist and Program Deputy Director of RMF Classic), evaluated 26 finalists qualified for the Final from nearly 100 submissions from 22 countries.

Di Iorio received his winning award during the International TV Series Gala at the Tauron Arena, in front of an audience of TV composers, Hollywood guests and closer to 12,000 viewers gathered at the concert, who heard the winning suite composed for a fragment of an episode of the cult series The Borgias. Performance by La Sinfonietta Orchestra (100 musicians) conducted by Diego Navarro (film composer and conductor). The award was presented by Izabela Helbin, the director of the Krakow Festival Office, and Robert Piaskowski, the FMF artistic director.

Recording Session at the Magyar Radio 22-Es Studió in Budapest, Hungary. Antonio Di Iorio conducted the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra, composed of 70 music professors, recording his music scores "Funny Rush", "Like A Bolt", "Epic Vortex", "Funny Epic Heroes" and "Prologo Epico". Recording on February 1st, 2015.

On August 14th Antonio Di Iorio got the 2nd Prize at the prestigious Transatlantyk Film Music Competition 2014 in Poznan, Poland. A great jury composed of professionals from Hollywood (John Ottman, Richard Gladstein, Michael Price, Andy Hill, Michael P. Aust) evaluated 11 finalists selected for the Final from 220 submissions.

August 2014

On August 1st, Antonio Di Iorio recorded and conducted the Hollywood Orchestra at the FOX Newman Scoring Stage in Los Angeles for the 2014 ASCAP Film & Television Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis.
The orchestra was composed of an "A list" of Hollywood professionals, including a 60-piece orchestra of LA's finest, with the fantastic recording engineer Armin Steiner, who has recorded many major and famous film music scores by based composers in Hollywood. Peter Rotter was the orchestra contractor, Michael T. Ryan the music editor, JoAnn Kane Music Service supervised and provided for all the materials when the compositions were completed.

July 2014

On July 2014 Antonio Di Iorio was selected as one of the finalists of the 4th international competition for composers Transatlantyk Film Music Competition 2014 in Poznan, Poland. The jury chaired by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek selected the best 11 works from 220 submissions. The final will take place on August 13th in Pozna?. he got the with his two compositions "Invasions" for 3 Mezzosoprano and Orchestra (voice by Marianna Petrecca) and "In Between Worlds" for Female Ethnic Voce and Orchestra (voice by Alda Caiello), composed for the same films.

June 2014

On July 6th, 2014, after been contacted by the artistic director of the Orchestra Filarmonica Franciacorta of Brescia (Italy), Emiliano Facchinetti, Antonio Di Iorio performed as a conductor and composer in Chiari (Brescia) with the mezzosoprano Marianna Petrecca in a gran gala concert with the same orchestra. The evening's program was composed of the most famous film music scores in the panorama of Hollywood and Italy, including John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, as well as Di Iorio's music pieces "Sparks Battle" and "Celebrazioni".

On May 2014, Antonio Di Iorio have been selected for the 2014 ASCAP Film & Television Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis in Los Angeles. He is one of those twelve composers selected from all over the world to participate in the prestigious workshop that will take place from the middle of July to the middle of August 2014 in Hollywood. Di Iorio will compose for a big movie clip, conducting and recording his music at the FOX Newman Scoring Stage, with one the most extraordinary and thrilling orchestras in the world, the Hollywood Studio Orchestra, composed of 60-piece orchestra professionals of L.A.'s finest on a major studio film scoring stage, including a legendary scoring mixer, professional music editors, copyists and composers acting as coaches and mentors. It is the same orchestra that records music by famous Hollywood composers.

November 2013

On November 2013, Antonio Di Iorio went to Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, where he attended the Gran Gala, which was held on Nov. 21st at The Fonda Theater, for the final night of the Hollywood Music In Media Awards 2013, in which he was nominated for his composition "Spacecraft Escape". Before the ceremony began, Di Iorio had the honor of parading on the Red Carpet for photographers, like all American film festivals, as did all the other nominees and special guests, including actor Eric Roberts and other celebrities. There were over 500 candidates in all genres and music styles, and representing Italy there were only three Italian composers in nominations.

Got the 2nd Prize at the FMF Young Talent Award 2013 in Krakow, Poland, on September 28th, 2013, within the 6th Film Music Festival, after having been selected as one of the three finalist with his composition "Moon Mission", for the short-film "Ciemna Strona Księżyca" ("Dark Side Of The Moon"). Gran Gala night happened at the Tinning Plant of ArcelorMittal Poland in Krakow.

Admitted to the Master Of Music In Film Composition - Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle, Washington (USA), associated with the Seattle Film Institute. This Master will start on September 2011 for almost one year, where he will study with the two-time "Emmy Award" winning Hummie Mann, composer of several film-music scores, as well as orchestrator and conductor for many composers in Hollywood musical scene.

He completed musical works "150 Anni Di Italia" ordered and broadcasted by Italian network TV SKY (Milan) for a TV show series and related commercials about "150 Years of Italian National Unity". These TV show episodes go on the air in network TV SKY in 2 weeks around, up to half March 2011, when the national festivity day comes. Compositions for orchestra and various formations.

He signed an agreement with a Music Company for tv, cinema etc. in Los Angeles (California - USA). After attending a proof sending his own music, his pieces have been selected to be used in several productions for television, cinema and others in the USA.

Best Award at the International Composer Competition “Valentino Bucchi” 33rd Edition in Rome (29th November, 2010) in the category A - Composition for voices and/or soloist instruments and orchestra. Winning with the composition “Eja Mater” for Solo Voices, Chorus and Orchestra.

 

October 2010

Selected for the final of the International Composer Competition“Giovambattista Martini” 1st Edition in Bologna, with the composition “Quadrazione”. The final (with the winner proclamation) will take place at the opening of the concert season on 2012 in Bologna.

 

January 2010

The Orchestra Verdi Of Milan on January 8th, 2010, in the Auditorium Fondazione Cariplo of  Milan, recorded Di Iorio's composition "Spirito Eroico", about twenty pieces. These pieces were broadcasted from February 12, 2010 by Sky in all the television transmissions and opening titles about the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010

On that occasion, he was hosted and interviewed into the live broadcast program "Sky Sports", presented by sports journalist Fabio Caressa. During the show, the pictures on the recording session of "Spirito Eroico" were aired as well.

Winnings of the music composers competition "A Vancouver con la tua Musica" ("To  Vancouver wirh your Music"), made by network TV Sky on September 2009, with his composition "Spirito Eroico". Several pieces recorded with the Orchestra Verdi Of Milan on January 8th, 2010. From February 12, 2010 Di Iorio’s music was broadcasted in all the television transmissions and opening titles about the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010 broadcasted by Sky.

Several concerts with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Campobasso conservatory. Performed picese like Mattino D'Estate, Vitalità, Rapsodia Sinfonca. Conductors are M° Lorenzo Castriota Skanderbeg and Antonio Di Iorio.

On 10/06/2009 in the Conservatory’s Theatre in Amsterdam at 7.30 p.m., performing in live concert of "5 Bagatelle" composed by Di Iorio, performance by the Woodwind Quartet with which he won tha audition for the concert. Ensemble conducted by Di Iorio.

Winnings, on 07/15/2009, with the Woodwind Quartet, of the scholarship for the trip to Amsterdam in the conservatory. The scholarship has been won playing “5 Bagatelle” (from the original “6 Bagatelle”), composed by Di Iorio, abridged and revised version for the same Quartet conducted by Di Iorio. In Amsterdam the Quartet, composed of Alessandra Facchiano (Flute), Simona Maffei (Oboe), Nicola Iacovino (Clarinet) and Agustin Toma (Bassoon) will play the Bagatelle conducted by Di Iorio in live concert.

In Israel in the live concert on the occasion of the visit by the Pope, on 05/13/2009 "O Sole Mio" (original by Giovanni Capurro and Eduardo Di Capua) and "We Are The World" (original by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie) have been performed. They are works orchestrated and arranged by Di Iorio for Soli, Chorus and Orchestra, ordered by the Italian radio television network Sat2000, which broadcasted worldwide the show.

On 02/07/2009 The Youth Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatorio “L. Perosi” of Campobasso started its rehearsals. The concert program is composed by works by Di Iorio, arrangements and elaborations of Bartòk’s pieces, and Di Iorio’s original composition "Rapsodia Sinfonica".

On 10/24/2008 Di Iorio has been selected in the competition "Quartetto Uscita Firenze Sud", obtaining a live performances of his "I Colori Della Toscana", in Firenze. Concerts on October 24 at the Teatrino Lorenese della Fortezza da Basso (Firenze), and on October 26 in the Auditorium di Careggi (Firenze).
